the only way to meet Future Homes Standard with 100mm injected CWI
Standards are changing in the UK and Ireland. Using our transformative system, installed by trained experts, eliminates the potential loss of performance from gaps between built-in insulation products.
In the UK, the Future Homes Standard being implemented from 2025 will require huge reductions in carbon emissions new homes. That challenge doesn't have to mean wider cavities. energystore spacebead® is the only full fill injected insulation that can help meet FHS compliance with a 100mm cavity.


Aerogel technology isn’t new. In fact, aerogels have been used in many industries for more than 30 years. However, the use of aerogel in construction has historically been limited to very niche applications due to cost.
This is about to change
We have developed aerogels that are made from building waste using patented manufacturing processes. The result is energystore spacebead®, the UK’s first aerogel based insulation for widescale adoption in domestic housebuilding.
This is our story…
AEROGEL PROCESS
We take construction product waste (eg an unused brick). We extract silica from the waste using a patented manufacturing process.
We then use a patented continuous batching process to turn the waste into aerogel. This innovation creates aerogel at a cost point which works in the construction industry
SUPERBEAD MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Raw EPS is produced by our suppliers using a process known as cracking to create various hydrocarbons.
The raw EPS is shipped to us by road, using renewable fuels for the entire journey.
Once received at our manufacturing facilities, we expand the material with low temperature steam. The steam used requires considerably lower amounts of energy compared with alternative insulation.
INSTALL PROCESS
Our install teams leave each manufacturing facility with enough material to complete the job.
On site, the Aerogel and superbead is combined in a predetermined quantity using a patent pending installation method.
Our teams leave industry leading IT to record detailed post completion quality checks ideal for verifying quality of install.
